Classic Car News: Aston Tops The Charts Of Dream Cars
Britain might not be known for its good weather or appetizing delicacies, but we Brits do have a taste for the perfect car. Its official, according to the Telegraph website, that the "ultimate dream car for Britons is not a super-fast Italian exotic but a classic British Aston Martin".
Italian racers and German engineering aren't enough for us Brits, according to a recent poll conducted by Lloyds TSB, which calculated the top dream cars from over 6 million Brits. The poll revealed that the classic Aston Martin, races ahead of European makes such as Ferrari, topping the list of dream motors.
Most of us dream of owning that perfect car, but according to the Telegraph website "one in five adults polled believe they will one day own their dream car". British car makers continue to be victorious with classic Jaguar coming in second place for most popular fantasy car.
According to AstonMartin.com, "an Aston Martin combines three elements: power, beauty and soul" – sounds like a winning combination to me. Perhaps the appeal of the nation's favourite spy, James Bond coupled with a super flashy DB5 has inspired us all to aspire to one day owning such a classic beauty.
