The Toyota Corolla is a car be any automaker dream, especially for the accounting department. The basic formula is as follows: Start with a neat package, but do not fancy that gained a reputation for safety, value and reliability. So, make only the minimum changes to limit unnecessary development costs that can significantly affect the consumer price. It is a completely new engine and a completely redesigned suspension sitting in the lab? Maybe they will see use in a few more years, buddy.
Understand that Toyota has little reason to break the trend. By March 2011, the Corolla was the best selling C-segment car in the United States. It is 18.7 per cent for the year, comfortably leading the Honda Civic at about 12,000 units. And guess what – it’s not just incentives to boost sales. According to TrueCar, Toyota is not even among the top five for manufacturers that offer the biggest discounts this year. What makes this little car a sales success?
