In this blog entry, I am updating my Ford Telstar i4 Ghia. This is the 23th update. I'll be dividing into 2 parts, first part about "Major Repair" and 2nd part about my TRIP TO Port Dickson (28 to 30 May 2010). Yup, just came back from Port Dickson Yesterday.
I sent my car to my Auntie's mechanic (A BMW and Mercedes Specialist) in Kampung Pasir, off Jalan Klang Lama to fix the leaking Flywheel oil seal. He said need to Remove engine and gearbox before can replace the flywheel oil seal AND gearbox oil seal (Both leaking). Besides the leaking oil seals, the Driveshafts (both side), Piston ring (emit white smoke), Spark plugs, Water pump AND GASKET...
I collected my car on May 14, 2010 (after 8 days in workshop)... RM2,977 poorer... So far so good apart from the LOW-IDLING (hovering between 600 to 800rpm). Here's list of parts changed:

As I am typing this, the Telstar covered 1058km. Now, 153,966km. Previous month, it's 152,908km. This is despite being in the workshop for 8 days.

0-100km/h: 10.8 secs (1/1/2010). Previous run 10.4 secs (27/9/2009).
TODAY, As at 31 May 2010,

O Uno é duro na queda. Lançado em 1984, ele poderia ter se despedido de nós em 1996, com a chegada do Palio. O atual presidente da Fiat, Cledorvino Bellini, que na época trabalhava na Magneti Marelli, afirma que o destino do Uno gerou discussões acaloradas na sede da fábrica, em Betim (MG). Graças ao bom desempenho no mercado, o Uno não só se manteve até hoje como conquistou o direito a uma segunda edição. A nova geração, no entanto, também correu riscos. Ela foi ameaçada pela crise econômica internacional, uma vez que a matriz da Fiat abandonou o projeto que, além do Novo Uno, contemplava a renovação do Panda italiano. Mais uma vez, entretanto, o destino sorriu para o Uno e a Fiat brasileira decidiu seguir com a parte que lhe cabia nos planos. O resultado é o carro que você vê. Ele chegou este mês às lojas em quatro versões - Vivace 1.0, Attractive 1.4 (vermelho da foto acima) e Way 1.0 e 1.4 (verde da foto acima) -, mas não aposenta o antecessor, que segue firme entre os líderes de vendas.

Corrente verde-amarela
A Mitsubishi planeja fabricar esse carro no Brasil em 2015, depois do utilitário Dakar, em 2011 ou 2012, e do sedã Lancer. O i-MiEV (Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Vehicle) seria importado a partir de 2012, para preparar terreno. A empresa já trouxe um protótipo e trará mais dois a tempo de exibir no Salão do Automóvel, em outubro.
Será um carro de nicho, na linha de Mini Cooper, Fiat 500 e Smart - as boas vendas desse trio indicaram à Mitsubishi que há mercado para o i-MiEV. A ponto de a empresa descartar a possibilidade de fazer o "i", a versão com motor a gasolina. No Japão, a existência dos dois modelos ajuda a diluir custos. No Brasil, diluiria a exclusividade.

Viper virou cinza
Agora é fato. As últimas 50 unidades do Dodge Viper, chamadas de Final Edition, trarão pintura cinza, com faixas pretas, bancos com costura vermelha e placas numerando cada unidade. Serão 20 Coupés, 18 Roadsters e 12 ACR, com um acerto mais esportivo. Todos usam o motor V10 de 8,4 litros e 612 cv, e poderão ser disputados a partir do próximo semestre. Um novo esportivo do Grupo Chrysler está previsto para 2012.
