Daihatsu Sirion

The Daihatsu Sirion is a car with a body of five doors, five seats from 3,600 mm in length. The most striking feature of size is its height. It measures 1550 mm high, more than a Suzuki Swift (1,500 mm) or a Nissan Micra (1,540 mm).

The four side doors are great, with regular forms and have a wide opening angle (80 degrees). The diameter of turn between curbs is 9.4 meters which is good for a car of its size.

The Daihatsu Sirion is on sale from € 12,300 with a 1.0 liter engine and 70 hp and € 13,300 with a 1.3 liter engine and 87 hp. In either version is rather expensive compared to other cars of similar characteristics.

The two engines and other components come from Toyota. The 1.0 liter engine has three cylinders and so too has the Aygo, which gives a very good result. The Daihatsu Sirion 1.0 has low fuel consumption for its size (5.0 liter, according to data approved means of consumption).

An Aygo with the same engine spends less (4.6 l/100 km), but is considerably smaller than the Daihatsu Sirion. The Daihatsu Sirion 1.3 liter also has content for its power consumption (5.8 l/100 km on average).

The two engines are sold with manual gearbox five-speeds. Optionally, for the 1.3 liter is available four-speed automatic that has a development in the fourth much longer than the fifth running of the manual box (38 km / h per 1,000 rpm 33.3 km / h 1,000 respectively).

All versions have a range of air conditioning, ABS, disk reader, four electric windows and two Isofix anchorages for seats. The steering wheel is adjustable for height (to adjust it also changes the position of the speedometer, it is attached to the steering column, the revolution has been installed separately on the dashboard), but not in depth. The version with a 1.3 liter engine has electric mirrors and driver's seat with height adjustment.

The front suspension of Daihatsu Sirion takes is a front McPherson. The rear axle is a cross of torque. The brakes of the front wheels are on the disc and rear drum. The tires are the same in both versions, some 175/65 R14.
