1. The LFA is ugly. Very ugly. Lexus was obsessed with aerodynamics and, as a result, the LFA's body is covered in intakes and scoops which make it look terrible. That would be okay if the performance made up for the awful looks, but it doesn't.
2. That brings me to the second reason the LFA is my least favorite car: Performance. Lexus spent more than ten years designing and engineering the LFA. So it seems that they'd have been able to outperform cars developed in a third of that time. This may be Lexus' first sportscar, but the fact that Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Chevrolet, and Bentley match or beat it in every performance category, is inexcusable. The LFA goes from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. That's pretty quick, but the Ferrari 458 Italia can do the same and the Ferrari 559 GTO is quicker by about two tenths of a second. The LFA has 552 horsepower, which is a lot, but the Corvette ZR1 has nearly 640. However, the other sportscar manufacturers have the LFA beat in more ways than one.
3. For the price of the LFA, you can buy three 911 Turbos, or a couple of Ferraris. How about a Lamborghini or two? The price of the LFA is truly outrageous. It costs $375,000. Yet despite the humongous price, Lexus loses money on every single LFA they sell. Are they insane?
I really hate this car. It's a collection of shortcomings from a company that needs to stick to boring luxury sedans. Why would anyone want an ugly, slow, and overpriced sportscar from Lexus? Lexus is by far the least exciting car company. They haven't ever made a car designed for anything other than comfort and safety. Why mess with that? It's worked for years. Lexus urges potential buyers to view the LFA as a "distinctly different" kind of Lexus. I don't care what they say. Mary Kay should never sell handguns. Home Depot should never sell scented hand lotion. Lexus should never sell sports cars. It's as simple as that. The LFA makes no sense. I can't stand it.
