The Porsche 911 GT3 RSR was launched in the 1999 Geneva Motor show and the car was a direct descendant of the super cup winner and racing car. Possibly the only thing that was different was the wheels.

The reason was not only a commercial aspect for the car makers to get the vehicle on road other than the race tracks. There was a lot of demand for the car even before it was made for on road purpose. Soon after the first lot was all sold out there was more demand and there were more cars produced in the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR category.

A lot of aspects were based on the old Porsche 993 RSR too for the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, and also astonishingly the only real competition to the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR was its own sibling the old Porsche 993 RSR. Isn’t it amazing to have your own breed better or the best. That means the family leads the pack and you rule. Porsche has certainly ruled the track for years with models after models being super efficient. After the 1999 success there were improvised versions in 2001 and 2003.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RSR is after many such improvements and to sustain the demand they have finally released this version which is super than all of them put together.

Hi this type of 911 I have never heard of, and it is beautiful. Well lets get started, it was made by porche of course. But it costs over $112,200 that’s pretty cheap (for a prche). It has a top speed of a desent 193 MPH (31o KMH), and has a OK engine, a 3.6L 415 hp H6.

The production was from 1999-2005, it also has a 6 speed manual trnsmission. I’ve never included this in any of my posts wheel base. The wheel base is 92.7 in (2355 mm), and has a height of 50.2 in (1275 mm), and a length of 174.6 in (4435 mm).

3.6-liter six-cylinder engine with 620 hp power unit already hunting hood has 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS package very mean and powerful punch. But for some people, 620 horses is not enough, so it will build a performance package for the Porsche animal, make it even stronger.

The Tuning Cars company believes that new 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS can improve the performance department, the German tuning house Wimmer RS upgrade and remapped engine control unit, reorganized the turbo, install a new sports air filter and intake, adding valve-controlled sport exhaust system with sport catalysts.

The 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS by Wimmer RS upgrade is amazing, at least. Of 620 hp, 0-62 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 205 kmh, 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS by Wimmer RS is now 703 hp with 597.5 lbs / ft of torque, 0-62 km / h time of 3.3 seconds and top speed 221 mph.

Wimmer RS program does not contain too many aesthetic improvements, but it really does not matter at this point, especially if you have a 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, which packs 703 horsepower. We assume that none of the owners will worry too much about the relative lack of internal upgrades to the super sports cars.

You Won't Believe Who Was Behind The Volkswagen Beetle

The Volkswagen Beetle was first put into production by 1938 and was still produced until 2003. Its 65 years of production spawned a total of 21,500,000 Volkswagen Beetles from all over the world. Everyone is familiar with the beloved icon and I even remember an old one my dad used to own that beeped every time he made a left turn, and the heater would run constantly in the Summer until my father finally disconnected it!


The birthplace of the Classic Volkswagen Beetle is in Germany. It was the brainchild of Adolf Hitler and Ferdinand Porsche, because they wanted to create cheap and economical cars for the ordinary working masses. Their vision was to create an affordable and effective car that every German family could afford. In fact, ‘Volkswagen' is German for ‘people's car'. Thanks to its affordability and dependability, plus attributing its unique shape and sound, the car hit it off immediately. The Beetle became the single most produced car and longest running in production in history.

The shape was conceived by Adolf Hitler. He told Porsche that he wanted the car to be shaped ‘like a beetle', for aerodynamic purposes, thus the name. The Beetle was never a fast car—and wasn't designed to be so. Instead, it build its reputation on reliability as any Beetle owner can attest that the car can last a lifetime.

During the swinging sixties, the car became increasingly popular, and was often associated with surfers and hippies because of its offbeat design. Its popularity grew because of its numerous appearances in old Hollywood movies
60 years later the Volkswagen is still making waves and has appeared in countless movies. The most famous movie example is Herbie, which was a Beetle that had a great big personality.. Another is a yellow beat up Beetle who took form as the Autobot Bumblebee from the popular Transformers TV series.

The new Beetle model was released in 1998, but oddly the original Classic Volkswagen Beetle was still in production until 2003. The new VW Beetle is modern in design, a lot safer and more comfortable than the older version. It now has newer features than what you expect in modern cars, but failed to retain the charm and character that the original Beetle had.

Early Model Porsche Classic Sports Cars

Porsche 356

The first Porsche classic model was made in 1948 and was called the Porsche 356. It came in as a 2-door coupe and 2-door convertible. It had a four-cylinder horizontally opposed engine with 40 bhp of power reaching top speed of around 140 km/h. The model has been in production for over 17 years and in 1965 the company moved to a new prototype – Porsche 901.

Porsche 901 was delivered to the market after almost 10 years of development. Porsche was accused of taking the naming rights of another car producer – Peugeot, for using 3 digits number with 0 in the middle. For this, Porsche changed the name of their Porsche 901 prototypes to Porsche 911. This affected many other Porsche models with similar names – Porsche 904, 906, etc. However, the number 1 had its unique magnetism and Porsche decided to stick to it. Thus, the 0 in the middle was substituted with 1.
Porsche 901 was firstly created as a four-seated model. However, as a continuation of the of the Porsche 356 it had to have a rear engine located at the back which defined this model as two-seated. Thus, a six-cylinder Boxer engine was used for the Porsche 901l. The car was so remarkable that Mr. Ferry Porsche presented it as the unmistakable character of the Porsc he sports car. Porsche 911 continues its development till present.

Porsche 912

In 1965 the company started working on another version of the 365 prototype – Porsche 912 which outsold the Porsche 911 for the first year. In USA, it became a market leader. The Porsche 912 was an economical Porsche with a four-cylindered Boxer rear engine with 1.6 litters capacity. The dimensions of the first Porsche 912, were:
Height: 1,320 mm
Porsche 912 was also remarkable for its top speed - 185 km/h. However since 1969 the prototype is no longer produced. The company moved to another model.

Porsche 914

In the same year, Porsche launched Porsche 914. Long before it came out, the Porsche 914 was already popular as a wonderful sport car at an affordable price - around 12,000 DM. The design of the car was reported by many drivers to be a real tease – elegant and sporty. The body-work of the model was done by the company Karmann. This model came with four different engine options, long wheelbase and Tagra or Coupe body. With its great advantages Porsche 914 quickly became the current best selling model.

Classic Car News: Pinnacle Of Porsche

The Porsche 911 has been modified many times over its lifespan to suit the current markets and to satisfy the demands of its customers.  The classic 911 is said to have been developed as a much more powerful, larger more comfortable replacement for the 356 – the company's first model, and has gone on to be the most successful model created by the famous marque.

Every classic car can be traced back to its roots and for the 911 this goes as far back as the original sketches drawn by Ferdinand "Butzi" Porsche in 1959. The 911 Carrera RS are considered by many to be the greatest classic 911's of all time and are highly regarded among collectors.
When a new car is born there is always high hopes, but Porsche's first six-cylinder production car has surpassed all expectations and long lived into a new millennium.  Every year newer, shinier, faster cars hit the roads and the headlines promising better performance than the last, and the Porsche is no exception.
The 911 GT1 was designed and developed in 1996 for the purpose of competing in the GT1 Le Mans racing class. This particular model even gave the McLaren F1 GTR's a run for their money on the race track and in 1998 went on to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
According to PistonHeads.com, Porsche has released pictures of the new 911 Carrera GTS ahead of the big reveal at the Paris Motor Show next month. Porsche says, "the new Carrera ascends to the pinnacle of the Carrera model series, with a power output of 408hp, outstanding vehicle dynamics and a specification" that emphasises the character of the iconic classic coupe.
This model comes as a ‘last hurrah' before the 997-series arrives next year and attempts to park in the rather large shoes of the 911.

Porsche, Toyota and Peugeot

Now, this car is a really strange mixture between Porsche, Toyota and Peugeot but i think the “merge” was done pretty smooth and the result is definitely something unique. I don’t know the name for it, but you could post one here. The base car was a Porsche 928 s4 and the tuners wanted to transform it into a Peugeot combination from Peugeot 406 and 407. You’ll say: “Yeah, I’ve seen other cars transformed from one to the other” but this one has something different. This car also has Toyota elements. The front bumper from a Toyota Avensis has became the rear bumper for this Porsche/Peugeot.

2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S Car Video

There are only slight design modifications for 2009, with the major changes occurring behind the scenes with the new dual clutch system, PDK, that replaced the old Tiptronic transmission. The performance of the 911 has improved, getting 30 more horsepower from the same 3.8 L direct injection engine. With the 385 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 310 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm, the Carrera S still managed to get an increase of two mpg, now getting 19 mpg in city and 27 on mpg highway.
