The Ferrari Enzo costs around 1.5 million dollars today. Even though the Enzo has been on sale for almost ten years now, it's still one of the most exotic cars on the road. Its 6 liter V-12 produces 660 horsepower and rockets passengers to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 217 mph.
Some car dealer named Zahir Rana decided a stock Enzo wasn't quite good enough. So, he decided to spend around 1.9 million dollars on an Edo Competition tuned Enzo. The Edo tuned Enzo has a 6.3 liter version of Ferrari's V-12. This slightly larger engine produces 840 hp and gets the Enzo from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. The top speed is improved too. This Enzo can reach 240 mph.
So, Zahir Rana clearly owns one of the worlds most special and exclusive cars. Most people who own exotics like this leave their car in the garage and never drive them. That's just wrong. Zahir Rana didn't do that. He entered his Enzo in the Newfoundland Targa road race in Canada. Good for him.
I bet he was having a great day. Then he got to a patch of road covered in gravel. Stock Enzos don't like gravel and I'm sure the 840 hp versions don't either. Rana lost control of his car and flew over the edge of a cliff splashing into the Atlantic.
He and his co-driver escaped unharmed. His car didn't. 1.9 million dollars in the drink.
Take a look:
Bummer...
