Christmas Gifts for Car People

Car companies sell some really crappy merchandise. Do you have any friends who would be interested in a Ferrari tennis racket? Probobly not.

How about a Mercedes paper weight? Nope. Mercedes' website describes the paper weight as a "glass block." That doesn't sound very desirable.

While car companies do make an overwhelming amount of junk, there are still a few things worth taking a look at. These products make great Christmas gifts for car loving family/friends:

1. How about an Aston Martin poster? This one features a DB5. Nice.

2. GM sells tons of cool products on their online store, but the neon signs are the best.

3. For that very special someone on your list, how about a Recaro office chair from Volkswagen? Recaro is famous for their racing seats in production and racing cars. Now you can bring some of that excitment to the workplace. I should mention that it is quite pricy. At $1795 it costs nearly $100 more than my Fiero. So, you can either buy a Pontiac or a chair. The chair has just one fewer seat than my car, and was never recalled for bursting into flames. That makes it a great buy.

4. Porsche sells all kinds of stuff on their site. The coolest thing they sell is a 911 pedal car. It's perfect for people who love cars and can't tie their shoes yet.

5. This one is not suitable for children. It's a Lamborghini chainsaw. It looks awesome, but if it's anything like Lamborghinis of old, it'll make lots of noise and then break. Cool.

So there you have it. The only list in the world that consists of a sign that lights up, a picture from the sixties, a toy, a chair, and an Italian chainsaw. Hope this makes your Christmas shopping a little bit easier. If nothing else, you know what to buy me this year.
